Witchhunt in Freetown. As per my previous reports of Clayday and Godsday , Disorderweek , Earthseason , some non-civil service personnel and I had fallen foul of Klutie Witchpriests operating out of Harvey Silversmith's Circus. My reports sent , I attended to sundry minor duties not requiring my absence from the Consulate principally the drafting of the new Freiburg Tourist Information Leaflet for the Moonguard Tourist Board.
The noise of the dwarves on the Nuncio's new offices next door was maddening but we were able to work. The Briefing. Then, the evening of Clayday , Harmonyweek , Earthseason , Chancery Doommaster Jurgen Ezrid arrived from Moonguard in response to news of my first report. He advised that Chancery will be very concerned to read my reports, particularly when placed alongside other intelligence. The perpetrators were presumed to be local Klutie insurgents and plans were made to apprehend them.
However, they vanished before they could be secured and peculiarly the blackmail threats remained largely unfulfilled. Regretfully, intelligence of this failed to reach Moonguard ahead of the Circus and its passengers. Intelligence from further afield I am not privy to specifics implicate the Circus similarly elsewhere.
The modus operandi for the Circus Coven is to liaise and co-operate with local Kluties , both Broo and Human โ a most unusual practice for this very chaotic cult. Doommaster Ezrid mentioned the putative 'Al- Kluteia ' theory: that a body of Klutie witchpriests forms a strategic controlling force that tours the World directing common covens.
The original paper originating from Necropolis Skull , gave the Broo name of this putative organisation as 'Wicca', citing Klutie myth, but concluded there was no real evidence and its existence if it ever existed at all is confined to legend.
