Wednesday — Saturday 10am to 4pm Sunday Noon to 4pm The museum is closed on all major holidays. Everyone enjoyed the evening, with drinks, food, and gorgeous fall colors! Thank you to everyone who made Croquet in the Lou a success! We had an amazing day in Tower Grove Park playing a friendly croquet tournament. There was also a group Zoom meeting on November 21, where participants could meet and read poetry together with special poetry presenters Eleanor Mullin, Dr.
Brian A. Ragen, and Bridget McDonald. The theme was inspired by the current exhibition on display in the museum gallery, Finishing Touches, which features 19th and early 20th century accessories belonging to the Field family alongside loaned items from local institutions and private collectors.
Guests were encouraged to have fun with their own fashion by donning their favorite hats for the afternoon.
Proceeds from the event will go to support the Field House Museum and its mission to preserve and promote the legacies of the Field family for future generations. A special thank you to our attendees and donors who helped make our Attire to Inspire: Hats Off to Fashion fundraiser a success.
Museum staff welcomed families to explore the museum while enjoying face painting, crafts, story time, and more. Events like these are wonderful opportunities for families to immerse children in history in a fun way. Check back next Summer to see what family fun event we may have in store! You can also visit us during our monthly Kids Corner for kid-friendly activities and tours. Artist Harry Weber joined the museum for our second speaker event, Sculpting our Past.
