The practitioners who massage at Melt are downright incredible. Instead of the one-dimensional model of massage, these therapists create a beautiful and wonderfully weird patchwork of personality and style.
They each bring something different and unique to their table, but all are remarkably versatile in their work. What is uniform is each LMT's ability to listen to their clients, to make them feel safe and taken care of, and to perform knowledge-based, intuitive, and effective therapeutic bodywork. How each of them accomplishes that, well that's something you'll just have to see for yourself! Her approach is investigative, thoughtful, confident, and warm.
She works with her clients to ensure that each session meets their individual and specific needs. Becky studied at The Swedish Institute where she gained a firm understanding of shiatsu, myofascial techniques, and Swedish and deep tissue massage. She has enhanced her training with courses in trigger point therapy and a certification program in advanced sports massage. In addition to her practice as a massage therapist, she has served as the assistant teacher for the palpation class at The Swedish Institute.
Her knowledge of anatomy and passion for bodywork just keeps growing. She understands the value and reward of hard physical labor but the toll it can take on the body.
She devoted the first two decades of her life to concert dance, ballet and modern dance, and graduated from Adelphi University in with her BFA in Dance. In she began studying massage therapy at Pacific College of Health and Science and graduated in The combination of these two worlds has sparked a keen interest in how each individual body moves and works and this often translates directly into her bodywork.
