The proximity of traffic lanes and Nice airport can cause some noise pollution on certain days noise of aircraft taking off depending on the direction of the wind but overall it is very acceptable. Check Availability. I am currently staying a that the Holiday Inn Nice in order to make an early flight tomorrow. I chose this location for one night only for the convenience to the airport. However, as a self-proclaimed 4-star resort, I am very, very disappointed. I arrived at check in is at and was told my room was not ready.
Fine, I am early. I am happy to wait for 30 minutes. I agreed. However, at , no call so I decided to walk back. As I enter I see the agent leaving the hotel in street clothesβno call. I asked the new agent about my room and he had no idea he was to call me. I was asked to wait in the lobby until it was ready. If check in is at , the room should be ready at I received no apology for their error. The room is frankly gross. I wish I could find a more profound way of describing the hotel other than gross, but I cannot.
See my attached photos of the actual room. The lobby is deceiving. Not only is the room gross, but there is not a coffee maker in the room, the shower products are empty, and they do not provide any lotion. Additionally for a 4-star resort, I would expect something more than paper cups in the room glass cups and a wine opener, perhaps? The hotel markets having a free airport shuttle.
However, the shuttle does not run convenient to flight departures, so I have to pay 40 euros for a 4 minute ride to the airport. Again, disappointing. Lastly, the hotel provides free access to the Bay Star Beach Club owned by the hotel it seems. I was excited to check out the beach on my last night in France. However, the beach club is very small with extremely dated and dirty furniture.
